Wochit social video creation platform

January 27, 2016

Wochit, the video creation platform, has announced the release of a suite of new platform features to give users the ability to easily create customized videos on trending stories and to publish those videos seamlessly on a wide array of mobile and social channels, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Vimeo.

The new release of the Wochit platform comes on the heels of exponential growth for the company, due largely to increasing need from both traditional and digital media companies to expand their video content and to promote existing text content with short-form, shareable, social video, on a wide array of platforms.

New Wochit customers from the global media industry, including Spiegel Online, la Repubblica, ProSiebenSat.1, Diario Financiero, Scout, and Rotten Tomatoes, proves that video and media are rapidly becoming synonymous says Wochit – and that social video is the product of the global shift where people tend to watch what’s being shared with them instead of seeking it out.

Growth stats for Wochit include:
– 300 per cent revenue increase from 2014
– 100 per cent growth in the number of countries working with Wochit
– 100 per cent increase in paying customers in 2015
– US grew 200 per cent in 2015 with at least the same rate expected in 2016
– Europe grew 450 per cent in 2015 with at least the same rate expected in 2016

“Much of our success in 2015 stems from the growing recognition among publishers of all sizes that video is the absolute best way to reach and engage audiences of incredible scale, regardless of device or subject matter,” said Dror Ginzberg, Wochit co-founder and CEO. “Our media customers are acutely aware of the fact that their readers are also digital viewers on social and mobile platforms. We now have technology so that anyone with an audience to reach and a story to tell can efficiently create high-quality videos and share them across multiple channels and platforms to keep up with audience demand.”
