TVT upgrades PA workflow

March 31, 2016

TVT, the independent media services and post-production house, has announced that PA (the Press Association) is using TVT and its ContentSelect platform to improve the speed and flexibility of its video service. In deployment since early February, TVT’s service for overall content ingest, aggregation, curation, editing and package will help PA deliver thousands of videos to customers over the course of a year.

TVT’s cloud-based ContentSelect manages all phases of the editorial cycle with incoming video rushes from PA’s network of contributing journalists, live video feeds and third party content all ingested into the platform, logged and made available as low resolution proxies for viewing and online editing. The platform has been successfully integrated with the PA’s archive and library for seamless reuse of master and edited assets.

Andrew Dowsett, COO of PA commented: “People expect fast access to video content in today’s 24-hour news cycle, which means that it’s more important than ever for PA to be able to streamline its workflows and create efficiencies in the delivery of its video output. TVT’s software-based approach allows us to make rapid updates to our service without having to install costly new infrastructure. The switch to ContentSelect has already had a major impact on how quickly we deliver content to our customers as we scale up to meet an increasingly diverse set of requirements.”
