Greece is providing transmission bandwidth for 4 new privately-owned TV channels, and will auction the capacity at a minimum of €3 million per channel.
Minister of State Nikos Pappas and Alternate Finance Minister Giorgos Houliarakis on April 12th signed a joint ministerial decision for the start of the process. The duo said that the tenders for the new channels will be released in the next few months.
The starting price follows on from a report and advice from consultanmts Deloitt, and commissioned by Greece’s Media & Communications Ministry who will administer the tender bids.
