Freesat adds Wuaki.tv app

Freesat, the subscription free satellite TV service, has announced the launch of VoD service Wuaki.tv on its platform. Available immediately to all Freesat viewers with a connected set-top-box, Wuaki.tv offers instant access to a range ofd movies and TV shows.

Wuaki.tv features the unique option of pre-ordering upcoming releases and movies can be rented from 99p without the need to pay for a monthly subscription.

The launch expands Freesat’s existing On Demand offering and adds to the platform’s 10 existing services, which include BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub and Netflix. Through seamless integration of the service viewers are able to move between Freesat’s other features including live broadcast, recordings and Showcase recommendations.

Wuaki.tv will be available across Humax Freesat set-top-boxes including the HDR-1000s 500GB, HDR-1010s 1TB, HB-1000s and HDR-1100s.
