Vodafone Spain goes for 9m FTTH

The CEO of Vodafone Spain, Antonio Coimbra, has announced plans to extend its FTTH network to 9 million homes in the next three to four months.
The company is speeding up its plans to deploy FTTH and has already invested a total of €1.18 billion in the first three months of the year.
At the end of March, Vodafone’s network reached a total of 8.5 million Spanish households. Coimbra said that the company is paving the way for the launch of a symmetric 500Mbps or 1Gbps service in the near future.
