Less than a week after it acquired US smart TV maker VIZIO for $2 billion (€1.82bn), Chinese technology giant LeEco has confirmed that it is in talks with Netflix regarding content cooperation.
“We are planning a very significant cooperation with Netflix, and details will be announced in the third quarter,” said Liu Hong, co-founder and vice chairman of LeEco.
Although unwilling to divulge further details, Liu said that LeEco has scheduled an event in the US at the end of September to unveil details of its North America strategy, with an announcement expected at that time.
