Vodafone Spain is launching a 4K service for bars and restaurants in an attempt to increase its market penetration.
The company will use dedicated 4K UHD STB and with La Liga as the main content to capture subscribers among the 260,000 bars and restaurants in the country. Currently the company is serving 15,000.
Vodafone will finance the purchase of 4K-ready TVs for these bars and restaurants. The company has reached an agreement with LG whereby it will offer 55″ TV sets ready for 4K at €700 to be paid in installments of up to €30 a month without interest.
