Prime Focus Technologies powers INsight TV 4K/UHD

Prime Focus Technologies (PFT), the technology arm of media services company Prime Focus, has gone live with its cloud-based Media ERP solution CLEAR at INsight TV, part of the Netherlands-headquartered Television, Entertainment & Reality Network (TERN). This is PFT’s first 4K implementation.
INsight is all about INspirational people with INcredible stories to tell, in Ultra HD. The channel features over 200 hours of original Ultra HD content a year, co-created alongside international industry-leading production houses. With its global reach, millions of households can enjoy INsight’s original programming such as Dracula, Escape the Castle, Power &… and Secrets of the Brain.
PFT powers the aggregation of content delivery for INsight through CLEAR, leveraging the power of cloud infrastructure to enable collaboration between partners and increase the speed of delivery. The channel has also introduced new efficiencies into its internal workflows as part of this landmark deployment.
CLEAR handles UHD content in its native frame rate of 50fps, retaining frame accuracy throughout the review and approval process, even when accessed through its mobile apps. This helps streamline the production cycle and allows TERN International to be much more aggressive with its delivery schedules. CLEAR also orchestrates the delivery of UHD TX Master with its automated Workflow capabilities, digitising the content supply chain. In addition to the provision of software as a service (SaaS), PFT also supports the company by handling raw footage through a series of workflows designed to increase monetisation opportunities for this valuable UHD content.
