South African pay-TV operator DStv has significantly increased the number of channels it offers users to its DStv Now on-demand app. Seventeen extra channels have been added including choices from MTV, Fox, Nat-Geo and DStv’s own ‘SuperSport’ brands, taking the overall total to more than 60.

The DStv Now app is free to all DStv subscribers. Users can log in to access their pay-TV account details, search the DStv channel guide and set remote recordings on their Exploras devices.

“We’re excited that we’re able to add more channels to DStv Now in such a short period of time – we added 21 channels earlier this year,” stated Graeme Cumming, GM/DStv Digital Media. “This time we’re adding incredible local channels such as VUZU Amp, kykNET Nou! and Mzansi Wethu – giving our customers access to the best local and international entertainment and sport while on the go.”
