Viceland channel goes live in UK
September 19, 2016
Viceland, the new 24 hour TV channel from global youth media brand Vice, has launched on Sky channel 153 and NOW TV.
The 24-hour lifestyle and entertainment channel will take young audiences across the globe to offer a contemporary take on youth cultures, covering music, food, drugs, identity, sex, fashion, sports and more. Overseen by Oscar-winning director and producer Spike Jonze, the new youth-orientated channel will premiere exclusive, original programmes, all developed and produced entirely in-house by VICE.
Alex Miller, Creative Director, Viceland said: “This is a new TV channel with a personality and a point of view. We want this channel to feel like it came from real people who really care, and we want it to feel special to viewers who watch it. We can’t wait for people to tune in.”
The channel celebrates its first day of broadcast with The Viceland UK Census, a new 90-minute one-off documentary which unveils the true attitudes and beliefs of young people in the UK.
