Yahlive adds 16 exclusive channels for Maghreb

Yahlive, the Abu Dhabi and SES-backed satellite which covers the Middle and Near East, is adding 16 exclusive channels for the North African region. The past year has seen it triple its channel coverage using its ‘West’ beam to North Africa to a total of 65 channels, mostly focused on Algeria.

Currently Yahlive offers 57 channels which are Algerian, and 36 are exclusive to Yahlive. Yahlive, in total, carries more than 210 channels, including the region’s first in Ultra-HD.

Commenting on the new channels, Ammar Baranbo, Chief Operating Officer for Yahlive said: “Our business model focuses on delivering relevant channels to the communities that we serve. The Arabian Maghreb is a key focus for us and we are thrilled to have increased our channel offerings to these viewers within the last year. We look forward to sustaining the momentum and bringing more original, premium channels to viewers across this region.”

Some of the new channels come from Sahli Media Group. Sahli Media Group’s CEO, Samir Sahli, said: “Our partnership with Yahlive goes from strength to strength and is focused on delivering an excellent mix of content for viewers in this region. We work closely together to increase the available number of local and international premium TV channels.”

In addition to Algerian channels, Yahlive offers an exciting line-up of popular TV entertainment and a variety of local channels including, Echourouk News, El Heddaf TV, Ennahar TV and much more. Viewers can also access premium international channels including France 24, BBC Arabic, Abu Dhabi TV, Abu Dhabi Drama, Abu Dhabi Sports 1 & 2, National Geographic Abu Dhabi and Fashion 4K.
