EWE launches IPTV with Zattoo and ABOX42

German telco EWE has chosen IP-based TV solutions provider Zattoo, in cooperation with STB specialist ABOX42, to complete to complete its TV portfolio with the introduction of an IPTV offering a month after the launch of its mobile TV application.
Zattoo runs and continuously develops the entire TV platform from the Headend to EWE’s own TV applications for the set-top box and mobile devices. The set-top box platform for the IPTV product comes from ABOX42, which also provides the ABOX42 software stack and lifecycle management system.
