UKTV’s Clapp joins Thinkbox board

February 2, 2017

Thinkbox – the marketing body for commercial TV in the UK – has confirmed that Zoë Clapp, UKTV’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, is joining its board. Clapp replaces Jan Gooze-Zijl, UKTV’s Chief Financial and Operations Officer, who was the previous UKTV Thinkbox board director.

The other board shareholder directors are Jonathan Allan, Sales Director, Channel 4; Kelly Williams, Managing Director of Commercial, ITV; John Litster, Managing Director, Sky Media; and Andrew Mallandaine, Sales Director, Turner Media innovations. Together, Thinkbox’s shareholders represent over 99 per cent of commercial TV advertising revenue through their owned and partner TV channels.

The Thinkbox board is currently chaired by Mallandaine. The Chair is a rolling position which is held for a year before it passes to another Thinkbox shareholder director.

At UKTV, Clapp is responsible for the Communications, Creative, Digital, Marketing and Media departments. She is a member of the executive board and is in charge of maintaining and building on the viewership and reputation of UKTV’s network of award-winning brands. She also oversees UKTV’s in-house high-tech production facility.

“I’m delighted to welcome Zoë who I know will bring enormous energy and talent and help us continue in our mission to get TV the credit it deserves,” commented Lindsey Clay, Thinkbox CEO. “We’ve always been very lucky with our board. They challenge us, advise us and have always been an incredible support to Thinkbox in everything we do,” she declared.
