Fubo scores Chelsea TV deal

April 20, 2017

US sports-first streaming pay-TV service fuboTV will now offer Chelsea TV, the English Premier League club’s channel featuring 24-hour-a-day programming, to Fubo Premier subscribers as an add-on package for $5.99 (€5.59)/month. fuboTV will be the first third-party platform in the United States to make Chelsea TV available to its customers.

Chelsea’s official channel is the only broadcaster that provides daily news updates and exclusive behind-the-scenes action from the training ground, live interactive pre-and post-match shows from the heart of the stadium, delayed first-team matches, live Chelsea Academy and Ladies games, highlight shows, live press conferences and weekly exclusive with the manager, Antonio Conte.

With the addition of Chelsea TV as a channel option for its subscribers, Fubo now carries channels that have the programming rights to the English Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A, Liga MX, Primera Liga, MLS, NWSL, FIFA, UEFA, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, and more. Fubo also provides access to other club channels in addition to Chelsea TV, something other virtual pay TV services do not have available. This includes Ajax TV, Barca TV, Benfica TV, BVB World, Everton TV, Real Madrid TV, Arsenal TV, and Bayern Munich TV.

The 50-channel ‘Fubo Premier’ bundle, which has been available in Beta since early February, is being offered at a discounted introductory rate of $34.99 per month. It features 26 channels that carry sports – more than any competitor’s entry-level package – including local team coverage through regional sports networks (RSNs) from FOX Networks Group and NBCUniversal.
