France Télévisions’ VoD and replay platform Pluzz has been replaced by france.tv, a service that merges all of the PSB online content, whether it is live, VoD, replay, or paid content.

Replay content is now available 15 minutes after the first TV run, (reduced from four hours on the old service). The new platform will also add around 500 new TV shows per day, while the VoD library will be bolstered by 150 film and TV specials each month. Kids, sports and cultural content from specific services such as Ludo, Zouzous, francetvsport will join the platform in September.

France Télévisions’ objective is to double its digital audience, and it is aiming for one billion views per month by 2020 (up from the current 480 million views per month).

An SVoD service will join france.tv in the autumn, with France Télévisions already plugging it as a ‘French and European Netflix,. The library will aggregate content from the producers and distributors who have already agreed a deal with France Télévisions, including Lagardère Studios, Newen, Makever and Banijay.
