ABOX42 addresses pay-TV challenges & innovations during industry breakfast at ANGA COM 2017

May 24, 2017

ABOX42, a supplier of OTT, IPTV, hybrid DVB set-top-boxes and Operator Smart Home Solutions, will host its fifth annual IPTV/OTT industry breakfast with technology partners Zattoo and Verimatrix during ANGA COM 2017, Wednesday, May 31 from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Koelnmesse, Congress Center North in Cologne, Germany. The event will feature a complimentary breakfast, followed by a panel debate and Q&A session detailing how pay-TV operators can increase revenue streams by providing secure, multiscreen TV offerings and exploring new business models such as smart home services.

Speakers include industry experts Matthias Greve, CEO and founder at ABOX42, Steve Oetegenn, president at Verimatrix, and Gernot Jaeger, chief officer of B2B TV solutions at Zattoo. During the panel discussion part of the event, presenters will examine the challenges facing pay-TV operators, including consumer demand for high-resolution content such as UHD/4K, additional security requirements, and the complexities of managing a multi-service TV offering. Technology innovation will also be discussed, with an aim to help operators gain new customers, boost revenue, and maintain customer retention.

“As revenues from traditional services decline, operators are driven to new revenue streams to reduce churn and increase the ARPU per customer. The smart home services market is one area that is ripe for operators to explore and will be discussed during this event,” said Matthias Greve of ABOX42. “Overall, our annual IPTV and OTT industry breakfast is a great chance to network and discuss important topics with fellow experts, as well as brainstorm the next big opportunities for the pay-TV operator landscape.”

Peter Charissé, Managing Director of ANGA: “We are happy to provide a platform for this breakfast event once again. ABOX42, Verimatrix and Zattoo are highly welcomed exhibitors as well as active partners of ANGA´s network operators.”
