Italian thematic TV channel producer Giglio Group has partnered with local food and wine guide Gambero Rosso to launch a global English language channel.
The TV channel will be devoted to top-quality food and promotion of the Italian regions. It will be initially distributed on the platforms on which Giglio Group already has a presence internationally. Subsequently the plan is to rollout the channel to other major countries in their languages.
Gambero Rosso has a presence on the Chinese state CCTV channels with Giglio Group and in Switzerland with Teleticino. As a result of this agreement, Gambero Rosso will broaden its international reach, boosting its audience and bolstering its market leadership.
Giglio Group currently distributes its thematic TV channels (Nautical Channel, Giglio TV, Acqua and PlayMe) in 55 countries, 5 continents and in 6 languages, on satellite, mobile, web TV and airlines. It also offers content on the Giglio Group IBOX platform.
