Multi Channel Network (MCN) Studio71 will launch its digital TV network in France this September – some nine months after TF1 acquired a 6.1 per cent stake in ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s MCN.

Studio71 France will feature content that currently generates around 400 million views per month; that includes the audience of Studio71’s channels, the 250 million views from TF1 affiliate Finder Studios and 80 million from TF1 brands.

Talking at Cannes Lions Festival, TF1 said the French version will heavily lean on French MCN Finder Studios, in which TF1 has a majority share. Studio71 will strengthen its digital content offering with Beauty/Lifestyle formats. It also aims at expanding into gaming and esports, food and cooking, humour and comedy content. In the comedy segment, content will be enriched with the newly recruited YouTube group Lollywood, that currently boats 1.6 million subscribers and 226 million views a month, and also air on

TF1 anticipates Studio71 France will become the leading MCN in France ahead of actors such as M6’s Golden Moustache and Canal+’s Studio Bagel.

“With the launch of Studio71 in France, TF1 Group reinforces its premium digital content offering as a destination for young multiplatform audiences,” TF1 Group director of innovation and digital Olivier Abecassis commented.
