June 30, 2017

HBO is in late stage talks to provide content for Hulu, according to a report in The New York Post.

US streaming service Hulu, which offers TV and movies alongside live TV content, is owned by Twenty-First Century Fox, Disney and Comcast.

Hulu is aiming to successfully close negotiations in time for Season 7 of the hugely popular series “Game of Thrones,” which launches on July 16th.

The proposed deal would be one of many HBO has signed to boost its online distribution on top of its traditional distribution via cable, telecom and satellite operators. It is available via Amazon, DirecTV NOW, Sony PlayStation Vue as well as independently via HBO Now.
