TVPlayer handles ITV Box Office PPV streaming

July 12, 2017

TVPlayer, the UK OTT service, has been awarded exclusive streaming rights to ITV Box Office’s highly-anticipated PPV boxing contest between reigning IBO Super-Middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. and former three-time world champion Arthur Abraham on July 15th. In addition to this, TVPlayer will be providing exclusive streaming services for ITV’s future PPV content.

The partnership will allow fans to watch the bout by signing up on the TVPlayer website and purchasing the event for a one-off payment of £16.95. As well as live-streaming the fight, they will be able to access on-demand content from the event for seven days after the fight has aired and exclusive content through TVPlayer. Fans will also be able to access the event via the TVPlayer platform on desktop, iOS, Android and Amazon Fire Stick.

Rob Hodgkinson, Chief Operating Officer of TVPlayer, explains, “We are very excited about partnering with ITV to stream this premium event on the TVPlayer platform. Pay Per View is a natural extension for TVPlayer, which is the only legal online aggregator of live TV in the UK. We are looking forward to delivering a range of events on a Pay Per View basis alongside ITV Box Office in the future.”

Ben Halabi, Business Development Manager of ITV Box Office, added “TVPlayer has built a robust streaming platform that can support the rapid influx of customers for a Pay Per View event. “With this partnership, we can offer our audience the same high-quality content they have to come to expect, as well as additional content and do so through a greater number of devices. We also anticipate that the fight will play well with TVPlayer’s millennial audience watching both in real time and catching up after the event.”
