BritBox comes to Amazon Channels

August 11, 2017

BritBox, the subscription video-on-demand (SVoD) streaming service from BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, and ITV, the UK’s biggest commercial broadcaster, which launched exclusively in the US earlier in 2017, is now available on Amazon Channels.

Prime members can subscribe to BritBox for $6.99 (€5.95) per month after a seven-day free trial, and gain access to thousands of hours of British programming with Amazon Channels. Offering the most comprehensive collection of British television available digitally, BritBox is the exclusive SVoD home to US premieres of popular UK programmes such as In The Dark, The Moorside, Mum, and the long-form adaptation of Zadie Smith’s NW. Also included are renowned series such as Poirot, Upstairs Downstairs, Miss Marple, and the largest collection of classic Doctor Who.

The service also features a ‘Now’ category that offers programmes 24-hours after their UK broadcast – shows such as EastEnders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Papers, and DIY SOS, with more to come this autumn.

“The initial rollout of BritBox earlier this year was met with a great response from British TV lovers and Anglophiles, surpassing our expectations,” said Soumya Sriraman, President, BritBox. “As BritBox continues on an upwards trajectory, this expansion onto Amazon Channels will provide the opportunity to reach even more loyal, and potentially new, fans.”

Amazon Prime members can subscribe to BritBox with Amazon Channels, accessible through the Prime Video app on TVs, streaming media players, mobile devices, Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Fire tablets, or online at Amazon.com/amazonvideo.
