BT Sport Score on Twitter

August 18, 2017

BT Sport Score will now be available for free to anyone on Twitter in the UK throughout the 2017/18 football season.

The show will be streamed via the @btsportscore account and will keep viewers up to date with every goal as it goes in across the Premier League, Football League and FA Cup.

With coverage typically starting at 2.30pm on Saturday afternoons, ahead of a BT Sport live Premier League match from 5pm, the show is presented by Mark Pougatch and Jules Breach.

The duo are joined by a host of BT Sport pundits including former Celtic striker Chris Sutton, ex-Wales international Robbie Savage, Tottenham Hotspur favourite Jermaine Jenas and former England international Rachel Brown-Finnis.

The show is also available for free on the BT Sport app and on BTSport.com to viewers as UK users continue to sample a key highlight of BT Sport’s weekend line-up at no cost.

Live football will continue to kick off across the BT Sport channels at 12.15pm on Saturdays with a match from the Scottish Premiership or the Vanarama National League leading into BT Sport Score.

The agreement with Twitter will provide potential subscribers with an opportunity to sample BT Sport’s approach and is the latest move by BT Sport aimed at making content available as widely as possible.

Last season’s UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League finals were made free to all on YouTube, BTSport.com, the BT Sport app and on TV, underlining the broadcaster’s commitment to make sport more accessible to fans.

“We’re delighted to be showing BT Sport Score live on Twitter,” said Simon Green, head of BT Sport. “This provides Twitter users a great chance to sample our strong programming, who will be able to watch football news and scores as they come in, whether they are at home or on the move. Innovation is at the heart of BT and we look forward to working with Twitter.”

“BT Sport’s innovative approach continues to transform the experience for fans on Twitter, a place where football conversation is happening live in real time every day,” added Theo Luke, Director of EMEA Sports Partnerships at Twitter. “We’re extremely excited to collaborate with them to ensure fans on Twitter don’t miss a moment of the Saturday afternoon action.”
