Netflix 63% of French SVoD viewing

Netflix accounts for 63 per cent of the SVoD viewing time in France, well ahead of rivals Canalplay (19 per cent), Amazon and SFR Play (6 per cent each), as well as kid’s SVoD platform Gulli max (3 per cent).
Netflix is also home to seven of the 10 most viewed titles, with Narcos, 13 Reasons Why and Orange is the New Black, rated as the top three series.
According to a survey from consulting company NPA Conseil, SVoD in France attracts 2.3 million daily users. TV series account for 48 per cent of requested content; movies represent 28 per cent and kid’s content 16 per cent.
NPA Conseil reports that 3.7 million programmes are watched on a daily basis, and that 62 per cent of this viewing time is spent on TV, whereas computers accounts for 21 per cent and mobile devices 16 per cent.
