BT’s AMC going FTA for a week

BT and AMC have announced that viewers will be able to watch AMC free of charge from October 28th to November 5th via the Sky digital satellite platform. Viewers can catch a whole host of series marathons as well as the exclusive UK premiere of the new drama series Snatch starring Rupert Grint on October 31st and the UK linear television premiere of supernatural drama Preacher, starring Dominic Cooper on October 30th.

“AMC is rightfully lauded for its outstanding range of programming, and we’re excited to offer a wider range of customers the opportunity to see some of the channel’s very best series free of charge,” commented Mike Moriarty, President, AMC Networks International, CE & UK. “Funny, thrilling, epic, ground-breaking and unique, we’re looking forward to showcasing a great line-up of shows that will appeal to a wide range of audiences.”

Tony Singh, Content and Business Development Director, BT TV added: “We’re really excited about our AMC Showcase week: we’ve packed the schedules with premieres and some of our best, binge-worthy shows. For this week, viewers will have the chance to sample the amazing content that our BT Sport customers already have access to, at no extra cost, as part of their BT Sport package on satellite.”

AMC is available free of charge in the UK to BT customers on channel number 332 on BT TV, and to BT Sport Pack subscribers on Sky channel 192. During the promotion, viewers will be able to access the channel free of charge at those numbers.
