Iskon to launch personalised TV service in Croatia

Croatian telecom operator Iskon Internet is prepping to launch a personalised TV service in Croaita at the start of November.

The new version of Iskon.TV has been upgraded with a series of algorithms that track the user’s behaviour and consumption of TV content and suggest similar content that might be of interest.

Users can access the option “Za mene” (For me) via the remote control that offers TV programmes they regularly watch, as well as recommendations based on their preferences. Each household member can create their own profile with a personalised choice of settings and TV programmes.

The customisation algorithms have been developed by Think Analytics, a Google partner specialising in TV search and referrals. They cover all content that Iskon.TV is currently broadcasting, content recorded in the past 7 days (if the Iskon.Snimalica service is activated), as well as content from the Iskon.Video and HBO On Demand service.

The Iskon.TV service is powered by Beenius, a Slovenia-based interactive TV middleware developer.
