Roku launches new devices in LatAm, Canada

Roku is making its streaming platform available to consumers and content publishers in Argentina, Central America, Chile, Colombia and Peru. The company unveiled two players that will come to market in the coming weeks – the Roku Express+ which for HD streaming, and the Roku Streaming Stick+ capable of streaming HD, 4K and 4K HDR at up to 60 fps.

“Streaming is gaining popularity quickly around the world, and in particular, in Latin America because it allows consumers to watch TV on their terms. To meet the demand, we are launching our affordable and easy to use streaming players in various countries in Latin America,” said Chas Smith, general manager of Roku TVs and players. “The Roku Express+ is one of our most popular streaming players, and is a great starting point for first time streamers because it works with virtually any TV. We’re also delivering our all-new Roku Streaming Stick+ that provides a cutting-edge streaming experience on both HD and 4K TVs.”

Roku has also announced that it is launching the new Roku Express in Canada. Consumers in Canada can access 4,000+ streaming channels, including 150,000 movies and TV episodes.
