SoftAtHome and Hubee together for a ‘smarter’ Wi-Fi experience

October 25, 2017

Hubee, the end-to-end interactive platforms: Beemix  and app solutions designer, and SoftAtHome, the software provider for operator CPE devices enabling convergent services for the digital home, announced today their partnership to make Wi-Fi truly smarter. The new app is demonstrated during the Broadband World Forum 2017 in Berlin on SoftAtHome stand E101B.

The growth in devices that are connected through Wi-Fi is unabated. Wi-Fi quality is ever-more crucial for end-users to enjoy their digital services, broadband entertainment and Internet access. Today, users expect operators to sort their Wi-Fi problems out and fix them as soon as they appear, even when it is a device issue.

With their joint solution, SoftAtHome and Hubee bring end-users more visibility on their home wireless network. Thanks to SoftAtHome’s Smart Wi-Fi and the Hubee app, subscribers are empowered to manage their Wi-Fi quality themselves.

The SoftAtHome vision is to open the home network environment. SoftAtHome has designed the SoftAtHome Smart Wi-Fi solution to help operators to secure the home network, control QoE, optimize bandwidth quality and deliver the highest quality of service from any corner of the home, specifically with an ever-growing number of devices.

Hubee has designed and developed a user centric mobile app, based on the open and documented SoftAtHome API, to re-empower the end-user: with the MySmartWiFi app, users can position Access Points (or nodes) in the house, know the exact status of all devices, understand their position and speed, diagnose problems and propose solutions in an intuitive way. “We are very enthusiastic to partner with SoftAtHome on this Smart Wi-Fi app,” said JeanSébastien Petit , CEO at Hubee. “With this app, we extend our own expertise from the TV to Home networks and we can empower end-users with their IoT.”

“Hubee is a well-known and recognized designer of applications,” added Lionel Gremeau, Product Management director at SoftAtHome. “We are proud to partner with them in the Smart Wi-Fi arena. It is SoftAtHome’s vision to simplify the end user’s digital life and to equip operators with well documented and open APIs in the home network environment.”
