Sky Italy #1 title at Italian box office with Gomorrah 3

The launch of the third season of “Gomorrah – The Series” premiered in 325 Italian cinemas on November 14th and 15th with Vision Distribution, an operation never seen before in Italy for a TV show.
“Gomorrah – The Series”, which brought the first episodes of the third season of the Sky original series produced by Cattleya, closed with great success.
After the record debut of the first day yesterday, according to Cinetel, “Gomorrah 3” still stands at the top of the Italian box office today with 229,992, 26,284 spectators and an average cinema income per screen of €762, closing with a total box office of nearly €500,000.

An extraordinary achievement for an unprecedented, ultra-innovative operation promoted by Sky and Vision Distribution. This is the first time a TV series debuts in cinemas just a few days from pay-tv broadcasting, demonstrating that a title like “Gomorrah – The Series” has the strength to attract enthusiasts to experience TV on the big screen.

From November 17th, the series will be the first exclusive TV channel on Sky Atlantic HD in Italy, every Friday at 21.15, also available on Sky On Demand. The Sky Original series is expected to broadcast in the UK & ROI in January on Sky Atlantic HD.
