Horse & Country TV changes head of distribution

November 24, 2017

Horse & Country TV (H&C TV) has announced changes to its international distribution team. Director of International Distribution, Wayne Dunsford, will leave the company next month, handing over responsibility for network development to pay-TV industry veteran, Susan Elkington.

Dunsford has led the international expansion of the equestrian sports and lifestyle network over the past five years, spearheading its successful launch across multiple pay-TV platforms reaching over 20 million households in The Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Australia, and, most recently, the multi-territory Amazon Channels platform.

“My time at H&C has been hugely rewarding and I am delighted to have had the opportunity to end my professional career helping establish H&C TV as a successful international pay TV network and to work alongside such a dedicated team,” Dunsford said.

Susan Elkington will assume responsibility for the ongoing international expansion of the channel and the development of the network across multiple platforms.  Elkington brings to H&C TV a wealth of international media experience across numerous disciplines. She has held senior level positions in leading telco and entertainment companies including BBC Worldwide and Liberty Global PLC, where she pioneered the company’s VoD services.

Elkington said: “I am delighted to join the H&C TV team and am looking forward to further develop their international strategy and distribution reach; new distribution technologies will allow us to reach the international demand from participants and fans of equestrian sports and this is an exciting opportunity. Wayne has built a fabulous international base for the channel and I look forward to building on his achievements.’’
