EU will sign off Liberty / Virgin deal

EU antitrust regulators are to clear the $15.8 billion takeover bid by U.S. cable group Liberty Global for Virgin Media without requiring concessions, say reports. The European Union competition authority is set to announce its decision by April 15th. Antoine Colombani, Commission spokesman for competition policy, declined to comment.
