Italian broadcasters Mediaset, RAI and Telecom Italia Media are in the process of beta-testing an OTT platform, tentatively branded ‘Tivu On’, with 200 residential customers.

Angelo Pettazzi. head of DTT content at Mediaset, speaking at IBC said the platform included a range of catch-up TV and VoD functions.

Tests are scheduled to continue until the end of the year with a commercial launch planned for the first half of 2013.
