September 29, 2010

Scorecard Systems, a global  leader in reporting and analysis solutions forcable, broadband and telecommunications companies, has been selected by Alltel Wireless, a wireless carrier with over 800,000 subscribers based in Little Rock, AR, to provide the carrier with valuable subscriber and revenue/usagereporting and a commission calculation solution. Scorecard’s applications, which drive accurate reporting of customer activity, reduce commission and acquisition costs, and put analytical ability directly in the hands of end-users, have been deployed at dozens of carriers throughout North America and Europe and currently measure results for over 150 million subscribers.

Scorecard’s Subscriber Analysis Application will ensure consistency across departments, improve precision around churn and acquisition reporting, and provide deeper levels of understanding about customers’ behavior patterns throughout their lifecycle. The solution will allow Alltel Wireless to measurecustomer activity using a table-based business rules approach that leverages industry standards and best practices, without the need for in-house coding teams.

“The Scorecard solution will provide us with a comprehensive view of all subscriber and revenue/usage activity for our business,”said Kevin Halpin, Vice President of IT for Alltel Wireless. “Utilizing the Subscriber Analysis Application will accelerate the deployment of customer reporting for our organization. We believe the solution will enable us to detect and respond rapidly to changes in our markets. The Commission Manager will leverage the data to ensure accurate payments, provide immediate feedback to sales channels, and reduce commission overpayments while minimizing our overhead costs in calculating and reconciling commissions.”

“We are pleased that in the current economic climate, carriers continue to partner with Scorecard to gain a more complete understanding of their customer activity and to calculate commission payments for their partners,” said Simon Marwood, Scorecard’s CEO. “The capabilities that the system provides will have an impact on reducing subscriber acquisition costs, detecting changes in customer behavior and usage patterns, and will allow Alltel Wireless sales and marketing management to more effectively design commission plans and to quickly monitor take and churn rates for new services and bundles.”
