Enspert mobile TV offering

January 10, 2011

Enspert, a convergence solution and device provider, has announced at CES that the company will be entering the global mobile TV chip-set and solutions market based on Google’s Android operating system in 2011. The new mobile solutions suite consists of a mobile TV reception chipset, Android tablet player and mobile TV router (which receives and transmits mobile signals via Wi-Fi, allowing other devices not equipped with ASTC-M/H reception chip to display in ATSC-M/H format) and supports ATSC-M/H, the U.S. standard for mobile TV in North America, along with ISDC-T (1-Seg) for Japan, Brazil and South America and T-DMB and DAB for Korea and Europe.

The mobile TV reception solution introduced by Enspert can be applied not only to the Android tablet, but also a smartphone, PDA and PC/laptop. For example, if a consumer’s personal technology device is equipped with this solution and used in a car, they can enjoy watching television or using the tablet for other media consumption while on the road.
