Digit content services expands

Digit is expanding the number of technical and operational staff they have and moved their operation to Concord Road, Park Royal, West London after three successful years at Westbourne Studios, Notting Hill, West London. The new premises also offer worldwide Sohonet connectivity.
Digit, the UK’s leading dedicated provider of digitisation, storage and encoding services, has announced they are expanding their operations to enable to meet increased demand for tapeless delivery.
Digit has been involved in digital content processing since 2008, and has worked on tens of thousands of 3D, HD and SD content since then. The company has also announced the opening of a new service in Los Angeles and Melbourne, where clients based in the US and Australia can take advantage of all the services offered in London, and can more easily ingest their content in territory and attend a QC of their films in fully equipped suites.
The Digit service includes all aspects of content processing, including 3D,HD, SD tape and file ingest, encoding, transcoding, editing, data storage, metadata management, QC, digital delivery along with fully managed technical services for content owners and digital platforms.
Daniel Gould, MD at Digit said: “The new base was required to meet the growing demand for our services as Digit had outgrown Westbourne studios. We have some exciting expansion plans and now need the premises to give us the space to fulfil those plans as we expand going forward.”
