Telenor shake-up sees Conax chief rise

Berit Svendsen, the CEO of Telenor’s CA subsidiary Conax is named executive vice-president of the group and CEO of the Norwegian business in a shake-up aimed at ‘enhancing innovation.’

Telenor said it was increasing its focus on delivering an “always-on experience” and was establishing a new Digital Services unit, headed by executive vice-president Kristin Skogen Lund. It has also inaugurated an Industrial Development group that will improve operational strategies by streamlining its technologies and activities across its global footprint.

“The organisational changes are designed to improve Telenor’s ability to innovate in and execute upon the vast opportunities and challenges we see emerge on the telecom horizon. Building on our core competencies and unique positions, we aim to further energise employees in the Telenor Group worldwide.
