SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, ANGA Cable Show in co-promotion pact

October 26, 2011

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), the US-based cable engineering and standards body, and the Cologne based ANGA Cable Show, a subsidiary of ANGA Association of German Cable Operators, have revealed cooperation agreement in order to mutually promote, enhance and support their respective congress and exhibition events, SCTE Cable-Tec Expo and the ANGA Cable Show.

In the future, SCTE Cable-Tec Expo and ANGA Cable Show will act as ‘International Cable Show Partners’ in order to more effectively meet the needs of the global cable industry and coordinate and leverage their individual activities. They will continuously deepen their exchange regarding their conference sessions through such activities as identifying relevant topics and targeting new technologies. One of the central elements of this cooperation will be the mutual support by providing moderators and speakers for the respective technical conference sessions.

Daniel Howard, Senior Vice President Engineering and Chief Technology Officer of SCTE said the need for the technical expertise and relationships that SCTE in the United States and ANGA in Europe provide transcended geographic boundaries. “We believe that this agreement will benefit the industry worldwide by creating new opportunities for the sharing of technical expertise, innovative approaches, industry best practices and standards development,” he declared.

Dr Peter Charisse, Managing Director of the ANGA Cable Show, welcomed the opportunity for an exchange of panellists and knowledge and described the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo as “the perfect transatlantic partner for our European ANGA Cable Show”.

The next SCTE Cable-Tec Expo is scheduled for November 15-17 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, with next year’s ANGA Cable Show 2012 taking place from 12 to 14 June in Cologne, Germany.
