Two new DTT channels have been confirmed to launch in Italy this November.

Radio Capital TV is a new music TV channel which is set to launch on November 11th on DTT in Italy.

The channel, owned by the Espresso media group, will air music videos, with a special focus on “classics” from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Exclusively for the day of the launch, the schedules of Radio Capital and Radio Capital TV will be fully synchronised, airing the same programming. The TV channel will compete with the likes of MTV Italia, Deejay TV, Virgin Radio TV and RTL 102.5.

News channel Mediaset TGCom will launch on November 28th. The new venture, backed by commercial broadcaster Mediaset, will carry breaking news every half hour, as well as traditional 10-minute and 30-minute news bulletins. Live programming will be on air from 06:00 to 01:00 daily.

The channel has set an audience target (0.40 per cent of the total share), in a market segment which already counts with Rai News and Sky TG 24.
