ONO’s profits up; TiVo service gains momentum

Spain’s largest cable company ONO ended the first quarter with a net benefit of €15 million, up 66.2 per cent, over total revenues of €383 million, up 5 per cent with EBITDA growing by 4 per cent to €186 million.
ONO’s TiVo service is increasingly growing with now 16,000 clients. Today, 60 per cent of its base with access to its fibre network could potentially sign up to its TiVo advanced TV service with plans to extend the service to all its demarcations over the coming months.
Around 85 per cent of ONO subscribers currently enjoy at least two services, with 40 per cent taking the triple play package. ARPU reached €52.10, up from €51 a year earlier.
ONO grew its internet base by 1.5 per cent, with about 530,000 customers, or 37 per cent of the total, taking high-speed internet services of 30, 50 and 100Mbps.ONO now has 1.79 million residential fibre subscribers, with 1.428 million Internet customers, 906,000 TV customers and 1.697 million telephony customers.
