The targeted switch on date for the start of South Africa’s digital terrestrial TV have already slipped, and this latest date was originally set for September. However, this promise seems to have more substance.
Once the switch-on occurs viewers in the key urban areas will get immediate access to 17 channels, including SBC’s 1, 2 and 3 channels, a 24-hour news channel and sports channels. A further 18 radio channels will be available.
