August 8, 2012

CETel Group (Central European Telecom Services) announces the acquisition of the Teleport Kabel Deutschland Holding AG registered in Unterföhring, Germany, which has been designed and built by System Integrator Hitron GmbH.

The antennas reaching up to 9.4m along with the corresponding RF infrastructure have been migrated successfully to CETel Group’s Teleport near Cologne and will be operational for C- and Ku-Band services on satellites in demand such as Eutelsat 10E and 3C, which are well suited for maritime services in the Mediterranean Sea & Gulf region. This acquisition continues the growth of the German Satellite & Teleport Service Provider, which consists of CETel Germany, CETel Middle East in the UAE and Geolink Satellite Services in France. “CETel Group has grown tremendously in the past few years and continuous the company’s strategy to provide tailored solutions for every kind of satellite based communication requests”, explains Martin Terlunen, the Group’s Managing Director, and further “the acquisition of Geolink Satellite Services last year complemented the services portfolio for both companies and the recent acquisition of the Kabel Deutschland Holding AG Teleport will feed the increased demand for new satellite services that we are faced with”.

In addition to traditional data communication services the Group offers VSAT Networks, Bandwidth on Demand, Maritime Services, the full range of Mobile Satellite Solutions and combined terrestrial and Satellite based Networks.
