Civolution presents next generation multi-platform media applications
August 13, 2012
Civolution, the leading provider of technology and solutions for identifying, managing and monetising content will unveil a new and enhanced line-up across its digital watermarking and fingerprinting technology solutions portfolio at IBC 2012.
At this year’s show, Civolution will showcase (Hall2, Stand A41) extensions to SyncNow, its award-winning Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) and synchronisation solution range, significant enhancements to its Teletrax monitoring range, and further developments in its NexGuard forensic watermarking suite.
Civolution’s latest ACR offering, SyncNow – Smart Services, is a server-side content identification and triggering service that provides real-time recognition of broadcast content such as advertisements, movies, TV series, and other content. The service leverages Civolution’s extensive and growing broadcast monitoring infrastructure, which monitors more than 1,900 TV channels worldwide. Companion App providers and social TV platforms can now work more deeply with advertising agencies and brands to further monetize their app platforms while advertisers can easily trigger targeted ads. They can leverage Civolution’s solutions to build attractive synchronised, interactive and multi-screen ad campaigns, enable direct product purchases from companion devices or facilitate automated click-through to commerce sites or branded micro-sites.
The SyncNow – Smart Services offering complements Civolution’s award-winning SyncNow – 2nd Screen solution which enables real-time identification and frame accurate synchronisation between broadcast, on-demand or recorded television content and interactive applications on companion devices (tablets, smart phones, laptops) to present compelling synchronized interactive user experiences including auto-check-in. Civolution’s ACR technology – through its SyncNow – Smart TV offering – is also available for integration within connected devices (smart TV’s, Blu-ray players, game consoles) enabling value-adding opportunities such as enhanced user interfaces and advanced advertisement models.
Civolution will demonstrate major enhancements to its Teletrax – Television Monitoring platform and the availability of exciting new broadcast reports, including retroactive reports to obtain broadcast reports based on aired events.
Teletrax is the premier global television, Internet and radio content tracking solution. It is the only global service offering a combination of cutting-edge watermarking and fingerprinting technologies over the world’s largest monitoring network. It enables media executives to keep control, better manage and monetize their assets. Teletrax – TV monitoring monitors more than 1,900 television channels worldwide providing precise and critical business intelligence on when, where and how long content is being used.
Teletrax – TV monitoring comes to IBC with major enhancements to its online portal. Through a widget-based dashboard, clients are now able to grasp at a glance the exact reach and usage of their content. The interface provides for extensive user-customized graphical visualization and includes the OnView plug-ins for visualization of the content itself for contextual intelligence and competitive analysis.
Civolution will also exhibit the latest developments in the NexGuard suite of forensic watermarking applications:
-NexGuard – Streaming, provides a powerful new solution to increase security of content being streamed to mobile devices and laptops for multi-screen operators, seamlessly integrating into delivery workflows and adding an end-user specific watermark upon streaming (constant bit rate or adaptive streaming).
– NexGuard – Pre-release version 2.0 incorporates new features such as multi-layer watermarking, automated file QC and H.264 file embedding support.
– NexGuard – Digital Cinema, now supports the new standard of digital theatre High Frame Rates.
“As premium content becomes increasingly available online, it needs to be monitored and secured more than ever. Consequently, the content identification market is beginning to mature and we are happy to have built such a prominent position”, said Alex Terpstra, CEO, Civolution. “Civolution has invested heavily in on-going research and development so that the use of our forward-thinking content identification, interaction and synchronization technologies continue to help media content owners to better secure, manage and monetize their assets.
