Released to coincide with the giant IFA technology fair in Berlin, a study by SSI Survey Sampling, says that the introduction of colour to TV broadcasting was the “most important development in the history of TV” for 36 per cent of respondents.
HD TV got the vote of 20 per cent of those surveyed, and came second in the study, sponsored by Kabel Deutschland. Indeed, HD TV found favour with 23 per cent of 18-24 year-olds. Other highlights included integrated (‘connected’) TVs (16 per cent), and in fourth place 3D-TV (12 per cent).
