Broadpeak launches nanoCDN technology

September 5, 2012

Broadpeak, a provider of content delivery networks (CDN) and VoD servers has launched nanoCDN, a CDN technology that leverages home networks to dramatically reduce infrastructure investments for operators and enable them to more efficiently deliver high-quality video services to end users. The first application of nanoCDN will be used for live OTT video delivery, with more applications to be supported in the future.

“The recent explosion in live OTT media consumption has challenged network service providers to support more content, more devices, and more users with limited infrastructure resources,” said Jacques Le Mancq, president and CEO of Broadpeak. “Broadpeak’s nanoCDN technology will empower cable and telecom operators by positioning them as the only players on the pay TV market able to deliver live OTT content in a scalable way to millions of users.”
