IBC visitors hold steady

September 11, 2012

IBC2012 had 49,808 recorded visitors morning, very close to last year’s figure and up on 2010 claimed show organisers.

Michael Crimp, IBC’s CEO, said: ‘One year in four, broadcasters are under huge pressure with events like the Olympics, the Paralympics and the US Presidential election. For IBC to maintain its attendance – and there is a good chance we will beat last year’s record – shows clearly that it is an event which is firmly on the agenda of decision makers in our industry.

‘We have increased the amount of exhibition space this year, adding a 14th hall,’ he added. ‘This remains a positive and vibrant industry and IBC is proud to be at the heart of it.’
