Celeno closes $24m investment round

Celeno Communications, a provider of  Wi-Fi chips and software for HD multimedia and data home networking applications, has secured a $24 million series E round of funding. The over-subscribed round included existing investors Cisco, Liberty Globa, Greylock Partners, and Pitango Venture Capital, and was joined by new investor Vintage Investment Partners. The latest round brings the company’s total funding to more than $68 million.

The funding will be used to further expand Celeno’s 802.11ac development programme, as well as increase Celeno’s world-class sales, marketing and engineering teams to support the company’s growing pipeline of customers throughout the world. Celeno’s field-proven chips have been deployed with over 75 service providers worldwide, including leading providers such as Deutsche Telekom, Liberty Global, UPC, Bouygues Telecom and China Telecom.
