Former KIT digital executive Fearghal Kelly appointed CEO of Digisoft.tv Move comes in anticipation of record growth in licence sales in 2013.

The Board of Directors of Digisoft.tv, a leading global provider of set top box middleware for the cable, satellite, terrestrial and telecommunications industry, have announced the immediate appointment of Fearghal Kelly to the position of Chief Executive Officer.  Fearghal Kelly is an established industry expert with over 18 years at the forefront of the OTT revolution. He will be bringing his partnership track record to bear on the establishment and development of a global partner channel, further consolidating the global network supporting the high demand for Digisoft.tv’s hybrid set top box middleware, Iris.  Licence sales are expected to grow in excess of 100 per cent in 2013.

Speaking on behalf of the Board, Chairman Pat McDonagh said, “We believe that Fearghal is the right person for this next phase of Digisoft’s evolution.  By combining our Iris STB product with Fearghal’s vast industry experience, we believe that this combination will propel Digisoft.tv to become the market leader in the IPTV, hybrid, media and entertainment markets. “

“The Digisoft team has worked hard to produce the most innovative set top box software” said Kelly. “Using open standards, Iris will enable operators to move straight to hybrid delivery at a price point that is a fraction of current implementations.”

Fearghal joins Digisoft.tv after six years with leading systems integration firm ioko and KIT Digital where he set up and ran its media practice.
