TiVo has announced details of the latest features coming to their next-generation TV offering with Virgin Media, enabling Virgin Media subscribers to enjoy the TiVo experience delivered from the cloud on devices beyond the living room through a new service called ‘Virgin TV Anywhere’.
Building on the success of Virgin Media’s TiVo service, which has been deployed to more than one million subscribers since its launch in December 2010, the two companies are now expanding the capabilities of this leading connected TV service offering by introducing a cloud-based TiVo experience that will give subscribers access to live program viewing online, and on tablet and mobile phone devices through a free downloadable iOS* app. Additionally, consumers will have the ability to remotely manage their favorite shows and interface directly with their TVs through these devices.
