Mediaset’s on-demand offer, Premium Play, has surpassed one million users, of which 750,000 are active via an Internet connection.

Premium Play, which launched in February 2011, is providing over 3,000 content (including football channels and HD) for subscribers of the pay-TV service Mediaset Premium, at no extra cost. The service has been averaging 10,000 new users per week in the 2H 2012.

From November 29th, Premium Play can also be received on next generation Samsung Smart TVs, thanks to the new Premium Play app.

For its part, Sky Italia has launched a new On Demand section to its linear service, Sky Go, which is available to 1.1 million subscribers.

The On Demand section provides over 600 titles (comprising movies, series, documentaries and more) for tablets, PCs and Macs. The number of channels has reached 28 (with the addition of Sky Arte, Fox Life and DeAKids), while Sky Go is also available on the main Samsung smartphones.

Sky Go is free of charge for all subscribers, while the new on-demand service is designated to customers with at least a year’s continuous subscription.
