UKTV, the independent television network co-owned by BBC Worldwide and Scripps Networks Interactive Inc., has launched its brand new Eden website, marking the first phase of its strategy to redesign all of its websites to increase distribution of content and improve viewers’ engagement with channel brands online, using different devices.
Oliver Davies, UKTV’s Head of Digital Delivery, said: “This represents the start of an exciting year-long project involving the complete redesign of our 10 channel websites and corporate site. We have launched Eden to look stunning, be easy to use, and social. The cutting-edge web design means the channel can live and breathe in a digital space.”
As of today, Eden, which is home to UKTV’s natural history and science programming, is mobile-optimised with integrated iOS swipe gestures making the website seamlessly feel like an app.
