Sullivan stays at Sky-D

December 28, 2012

Amid reports that his near-namesake Gerry O’Sullivan – Deutsche Telekom’s SVP Global TV and Entertainment – is to leave his role, pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland has announced it has reached an agreement to extend the contract of Chief Executive Officer Brian Sullivan through December 2014.

Sullivan said that being part of the Sky Deutschland team was “both constantly exciting and a unique privilege,” and he looked forward very much to working with colleagues to further develop the business, and helping to deliver the outstanding content, innovation and service its customers deserved.

Although his departure has formally to be announced by Deutsche Telekom, O’Sullivan has let it be known that he has asked to leave the company for ‘family reasons’. He has agreed to stay on with the company during 2013 to advise and help them with a smooth transition.

O’Sullivan has managed the development of DT’s TV and Entertainment propositions in ten countries across Europe, including Germany.

Both executives took up their posts following senior roles at BSkyB.
